Dog Spotted on Ancient Egyptian Pyramid
In an unprecedented incident that has captured the imagination of people worldwide, a group of paragliders witnessed an extraordinary sight during their sunrise flight over Egypt's iconic Great Pyramids. A stray dog was spotted atop the ancient Pyramid of Khafre, engaging in what appeared to be a playful chase of birds at the structure's summit.
Marshall Mosher, an American paraglider participating in the annual flying event organized by SkyOne Egypt, recounted the surreal experience. Initially mistaken for a mountain lion, the canine explorer was observed running back and forth on the 448-foot (136-meter) tall pyramid, a site strictly off-limits to human visitors.
The unusual spectacle quickly went viral on social media, with Mosher's Instagram post garnering millions of views overnight. This unexpected popularity has overshadowed the paragliding event itself, much to Mosher's surprise. "I thought the opportunity to fly over the pyramids was decently interesting news, but no one cares about that," he remarked.
While the dog's adventurous spirit has captivated audiences, it has also drawn attention to the plight of the numerous stray dogs in the area. Mosher expressed interest in collaborating with local animal shelters to provide safer environments for these animals, away from the potential dangers of such lofty explorations.
