Emma Watson, renowned for her role as Hermione Granger in the Harry Potter film series, has been banned from driving for six months following a speeding incident. The 35-year-old actress was caught driving her Audi at 38 mph in a 30 mph zone in Oxford, England, last July.
Although Watson did not appear in court, she was fined £1,044 (approximately $1,400) and disqualified from driving. The ruling came after she had already accumulated nine penalty points on her license before this incident.
Interestingly, Watson's former Harry Potter co-star, Zoë Wanamaker, received an identical sentence on the same day for a separate speeding offense. Both actresses now face a six-month driving ban, highlighting the strict enforcement of traffic laws in the UK.
