In Argentina, a group of nonagenarians have found an innovative way to combat loneliness and share their life experiences. They've started a podcast called "Ninety and Counting".
The idea began with 97-year-old Alberto Chab, who posted a video online calling for other seniors to join him in discussing their lives. His initiative received an overwhelming response, with over 1,500 people reaching out.
Guadalupe Camurati, a 26-year-old journalist, suggested turning their conversations into a podcast. Now, the group meets every two weeks to discuss various topics, from their past experiences to current events. They share stories about things that no longer exist or have changed significantly over their lifetimes.
The podcast has had a positive impact on the participants' lives. They now have more to share with their families and feel more connected to society. As Alberto puts it, "a re-socialization was established, a very fruitful dialogue that didn't exist before."
