From the 15th to 19th centuries, millions of African people were taken from their homes. They were sent to America and other places to work as slaves. This was very cruel and wrong.
Today, some people want reparations. This means they want an apology and money for what happened. Some countries say sorry, but they don't want to pay money. The debate continues today.
