Flying may become harder this summer. The price of jet fuel has gone up a lot. This happened because of fighting in the Middle East.
Europe buys a lot of jet fuel from the Gulf region. But now ships cannot pass through an important waterway called the Strait of Hormuz. It has been closed for eight weeks. This means Europe cannot get enough fuel.
Airlines are worried. Fuel costs a lot of money for them. Some airlines are canceling flights. Others are making tickets more expensive. If there is not enough fuel, more flights may be canceled during the summer holiday season.
