Tuesday, 08 July, 2025117 words2 minutes
The River Seine in Paris is open for swimming again. People can swim there for the first time in 100 years. The city cleaned the river for the 2024 Olympics. Now, there are three places where people can swim. These areas have changing rooms and showers. Children aged 10 or 14 can swim too, depending on the place. Lifeguards watch over the swimmers to keep them safe.
The city spent a lot of money to clean the river. Before, the water was too dirty for swimming. Now, it's much cleaner. The mayor of Paris even swam in the river last year to show it was safe. People can swim in the Seine until the end of August.
