Aswat Almadina is a famous band from Sudan. The band members now live in different countries because of the war.
The war started in 2023 in Sudan's capital, Khartoum. Timon, a band member, saw dead bodies and destroyed buildings. "It was like a zombie movie," he says. More than 150,000 people died. About 12 million people left their homes.
The band started in 2014. Their music mixes Middle Eastern sounds with pop and jazz. Young people in Sudan loved their songs. The band sang about problems in society and everyday life. One fan held a sign that said, "Your music saved my life."
Now the band members live far apart. Ibrahem lives in Saudi Arabia. Timon lives in Egypt. But they still make music together online. They are working on a new song called "Sudan." They hope their music brings peace and hope to their country.
