A robot ran a half-marathon race in Beijing on Sunday. The robot finished the 21-kilometer race in 50 minutes and 26 seconds. This was faster than the human world record of 57 minutes.
The robot was made by Honor, a Chinese smartphone company. It has long legs and a special cooling system. Last year, the winning robot took 2 hours and 40 minutes. This year's robots were much faster.
Many people came to watch the race. They were very surprised by the robots' speed. Some robots could run by themselves, while others were controlled by people. China is working hard to develop new robot technology.
