South Korean Singles Seek Love at Buddhist Temple Retreat

Young single people in South Korea are looking for love in a special place. They go to Naksansa, a Buddhist temple on a hill near the sea. The temple is very old. It was built in the year 671.
Twenty people joined a two-day matchmaking event at the temple. They did fun activities together. In one activity, one person wore a blindfold. Their partner helped them walk to a special gate. A monk watched them. The people also drank tea together, walked in the woods, and did yoga at the beach.
Many people wanted to join this event. Over 4,000 people applied for only 20 places. The temple program started in 2023. It helps young people meet and maybe fall in love. It also asks people to think about South Korea's low birthrate.
