Meta is a big technology company. It makes smart glasses that can record videos. The company used workers in Kenya to help train its AI. These workers had to watch videos from the smart glasses.
In February, some workers told newspapers about their job. They said they saw private videos. Some videos showed people in bathrooms. Other videos showed people having sex. The workers were upset about this.
Two months later, Meta stopped working with the company that hired these workers. Now 1,108 people will lose their jobs. Meta says the company did not do good work. But some people think Meta ended the contract because workers talked to newspapers about the private videos.
