China will make about 18,000 tonnes of matcha this year. That is 70% of all the matcha in the world. Most of it comes from Guizhou province. Chinese factories use big machines to make matcha fast.
Chinese companies are putting matcha in many foods. They use it in noodles and dumplings, not just drinks. People can find it in shops. Matcha is becoming a big business in China.
