Fishers in Cyprus are finding new fish in the Mediterranean Sea. One new fish is the lionfish. It has sharp, venomous spines. These fish come from warmer waters like the Red Sea.
The sea is getting warmer because of climate change. Warmer water helps new fish to live there. The new fish can break fishing nets. They also change the local food.
Some people want to catch and eat these fish. Chefs are trying to cook them safely. This may help control the number of invasive fish. But eating them will not solve all the problems.
