Mount Etna, one of the world's most active volcanoes, has been putting on a spectacular show in Sicily, Italy. The volcano has been erupting for a week, spraying bright orange lava into the sky. This amazing sight has attracted thousands of tourists.
However, the sudden influx of visitors is causing safety problems. Salvo Cocina, head of Sicily's Civil Protection agency, is worried. Many tourists are parking their cars in dangerous places and walking on narrow roads. This is blocking rescue vehicles from moving freely.
Some tourists have already gotten into trouble. Eight people got lost while trying to hike without a guide. Another person hurt their foot after falling on ice. The airport in Catania has had to close several times because of ash clouds from the volcano.
