Two ocean videographers, John Roney and Chris Mullen, had an extraordinary encounter while diving off Vancouver Island. This area is famous for its giant Pacific octopuses, and the divers were lucky enough to meet several of these fascinating creatures.
One particularly curious octopus caught their attention. After exploring the divers with its tentacles, the octopus became intrigued by their camera equipment. In a surprising turn of events, the octopus reached out and completely engulfed one of the cameras with its arms. John, the camera's owner, decided to let go, allowing the octopus to carry the device around.
The octopus then proceeded to create its own 'personal photoshoot', capturing unique footage from inside its arms. Amazingly, the intelligent creature even managed to turn off the camera after a few minutes. Both divers were thrilled by this unexpected interaction, with Chris describing it as 'the coolest thing to see'. John was impressed by the octopus's videography skills, jokingly giving it a perfect score of ten out of ten.
