Disney and Pixar have released a new trailer for Toy Story 5, showing the return of beloved characters Buzz Lightyear and Woody. The film introduces a modern threat to the toys' existence: a frog-like tablet computer called Lilypad, who has "disruptive ideas" about what is best for their owner, Bonnie.
The trailer teases an emotional reunion between Buzz and Woody. In Toy Story 4, Woody left the group to help abandoned toys. Now he returns. "It's been too long cowboy," says Buzz, voiced again by Tim Allen, as he embraces the slightly balding Woody, portrayed by Tom Hanks.
The pair soon fall back into their old habits, bickering just like before. "It's good to see them fighting again," observes Mr Potato Head. Many familiar characters return, including Jessie, Hamm, and Keanu Reeves' Duke Kaboom. New additions include Greta Lee as Lilypad and Craig Robinson as Atlas, a cheerful GPS hippo toy.
The film's tagline captures its theme: "Times may change but friends are forever." Toy Story 5 arrives in cinemas on June 19.
