Apple Shifts iPhone Production

Apple is making significant changes to its production strategy. The tech giant announced that the majority of iPhones destined for the US market will now be manufactured in India. Additionally, Vietnam will become a major production hub for other Apple devices such as iPads and Apple Watches.
This shift is largely due to new trade policies and tariffs imposed by the US government. By moving production out of China, Apple aims to mitigate the impact of these tariffs and reduce potential costs. Despite these challenges, Apple reported strong financial performance, with a 5% increase in revenue for the first quarter of the year.
The company is also emphasizing its commitment to the US economy. CEO Tim Cook highlighted Apple's plans to invest $500 billion across several US states over the next four years. This move demonstrates Apple's efforts to balance global production with domestic investment.
