Animals Rescued from Closed Zoo in Argentina

A major animal rescue operation is taking place at a former zoo near Buenos Aires, Argentina. The zoo, which closed in 2020, left many animals stranded in poor conditions.

Now, an international animal welfare organization called Four Paws is stepping in to help. They are providing urgent medical care to 62 big cats and two brown bears that have survived in cramped cages for years.

The animals are receiving vaccinations, treatments for injuries, and proper nutrition. Once they are healthy enough, they will be moved to spacious wildlife sanctuaries in other countries.

This rescue mission is one of the largest and most complex ever undertaken in Argentina. It marks a significant step towards improving animal welfare in the country.
