Air India Flight Returns Due to Clogged Toilets

An Air India flight from Chicago to Delhi was compelled to turn back after several hours in the air due to an unusual problem. Passengers had flushed inappropriate items down the toilets, causing a major plumbing issue. The airline discovered that plastic bags, rags, and even clothes had been disposed of in the lavatories, leading to blockages in the pipes.

Out of the 12 toilets on board, eight became unusable, creating significant discomfort for passengers and crew. The pilots made the decision to return to Chicago, considering passenger comfort and safety. Air India later released a statement urging travelers to use the lavatories only for their intended purpose.
