Zoo Animals Get Weighed

Whipsnade Zoo in England had a special day. All the animals got weighed.

Big animals like lions and camels stepped on big scales. Small animals like penguins used little scales. The zoo does this every year to check if the animals are healthy.

Some animals didn't want to be weighed. The zookeepers had to be clever. They gave the animals treats to make them stand on the scales. One animal even got some Marmite!

The zoo will share this information with other zoos around the world. This helps everyone take good care of animals.
