The Winter Olympics are changing. The weather is getting warmer. There is less natural snow in the mountains. This makes winter sports more difficult and dangerous.
Now, people use machines to make artificial snow. At the 2026 Winter Olympics in Italy, 85% of the snow will be artificial. This snow is harder and icier than natural snow. When athletes fall on it, they can get hurt more easily.
Athletes also have problems with training. They need to travel more to find good snow. Some places don't have enough snow anymore. This costs more money and makes training harder.
