A big storm called Typhoon Dolphin hit China on August 9, 2026. It came to land near Taizhou city. The storm had very strong winds. The winds moved at 151 kilometres per hour. The storm brought heavy rain and big waves.
Before the storm came, the government helped people stay safe. In Taizhou, 390,000 people moved to safe places. In Shanghai, 30,000 people also moved. The airports stopped many flights. People could not travel by boat.
The storm was dangerous. Some places got a lot of rain. Schools and buses stopped working. The government acted early to keep people safe from the wind and water.
