Every year, millions of bats fly to Kasanka National Park in Zambia. They come between October and December. These bats are called straw-coloured fruit bats. About eight to ten million bats arrive at the park. This is the largest mammal migration in the world.
The bats eat fruit at night. They eat their own body weight in fruit every night. They fly up to 96 kilometers to find food. Then they return to the park in the morning. The bats help the forest by spreading seeds everywhere.
Only about 800 people visit the park each year to see the bats. The park is small and quiet. Visitors can watch the bats fly into the sky at sunset. It is an amazing sight to see.
