A big rainstorm hit southern Thailand. It was very strong, happening only once every 300 years. The rain caused a lot of flooding.
The city of Hat Yai had the most rain. The water was very deep, up to 8 feet in some places. Many roads and houses were underwater.
A hospital in Hat Yai had problems. The water cut off power and water supply. Nurses had to take care of 30 babies whose parents couldn't reach them. The flooding affected many people in southern Thailand.
