In 2024, there were 316 problems with these devices in bags. In 2025, this number went up to 643. Most fires happened in the cabin where crew could help. But if a fire starts in the hold, it is very dangerous.
Passengers must take power banks and vapes in the cabin. They cannot put them in check-in bags. Only two power banks per person are allowed. People should turn off laptops before putting them in bags. These simple rules can keep everyone safe.
