Humpback Whales Form Super-Groups

Humpback whales are coming back! In December 2025, two photographers saw 304 whales in one day. This is the biggest number ever seen.
Many years ago, people killed too many whales. Only 5% of whales were left. But 40 years ago, people stopped killing whales. Now, whale numbers are growing again.
The whales come together in big groups called "super-groups". They meet to eat small fish called krill. When whales breathe out, the sound is very loud. The smell is strong and fishy. Seeing so many whales together is amazing!
