Finland has many libraries. People go there every day. They do not just borrow books. They can borrow sewing machines, tennis rackets, and games. They can use rooms to meet friends or study.
Libraries are free for everyone. Rich and poor people use the same spaces. Librarians help people with computers and job applications. Many people visit libraries every month.
One woman came to Finland as a child. The library gave her a library card. It was her first thing in Finland. She felt the library was her place. Now she works in the government. She takes her children to the library too.
