A concert may last only two or three hours, but visitors often spend money for a whole weekend. This helps local businesses. In 2025, China had more than 640,000 performances. Nearly 194 million people bought tickets.
Cities want more concerts because visitors spend money on transport, hotels, food, and shopping. Some cities give discounts to people who show their concert tickets. They also open night markets and special buses so visitors stay longer and enjoy the city.
