Chinese Tourists Die in Lake Baikal Ice Tragedy

A terrible accident happened on Lake Baikal in Russia on Friday. Lake Baikal is a very big and deep lake in Siberia. It freezes in winter.
A small bus with Chinese tourists fell through the ice. There were eight tourists and one Russian driver in the bus. The bus went into the cold water. It was very deep - 18 meters down.
One tourist was lucky and got out. But seven tourists and the driver died. Divers found their bodies under the ice. The governor said going on the ice is very dangerous now. People should not go there.
