China is holding a special robot marathon in Beijing on April 19. The robots look like humans and can run by themselves.
Last year, a robot named Tiangong won the race. It finished in 2 hours, 40 minutes, and 42 seconds. Last year, Tiangong could run at 6 kilometers per hour. Now it can run at 12 kilometers per hour! That is two times faster.
More than 20 teams will join the race. The robots will run on different roads - flat roads, grass, and hills. This year, the robots will run without human help. They will choose their own path and make decisions while running. Scientists want to see if robots can run as fast as humans.
