Abdul and Shahnaz were going to have a baby. They went to a clinic, but it was closed. The clinic shut down because the US stopped giving money to Afghanistan.
Shahnaz had to have her baby in a car. Sadly, she and the baby died. Abdul was very sad. He said, "My wife and child could have been saved if the clinic was open."
Many clinics in Afghanistan closed. This makes it hard for women to get help when having babies. Some women have to travel far to big hospitals. These hospitals are now very crowded.
