25 Years of Continuous Human Presence in Space

The International Space Station is celebrating a big birthday. For 25 years, people have lived there without stopping. Almost 300 people have visited the station. Most were astronauts, but some were tourists.

The station started in 2000. Three men were the first to live there. They made the station a good place to live and work. Now, seven people from different countries are on the station.

Living in space can be hard. There have been some problems, but the station is still working well. Astronauts can now grow plants and make phone calls from space. They do many experiments to learn about living in space.
